This ring was made using coils of silver clay wrapped around a ring mandrel in layers. The coils were centered around a lab blue sapphire which was set first and dried. To give stability I used 3 coils. For embellishments I added silver balls.

After kiln firing for 2 hours I burnished the silver balls with 24K Gold foil, a process called Keum boo and polished the silver. The ring is comfortable, smooth and gender neutral. It is one of kind. I probably could not recreate it exactly.
